May Makosz of Calgary passed away peacefully in the company of her family at the Cedars Villa Extendicare on Monday, July 5, 2004 at the age of 82 years. May was born on May 23, 1922 in Brechin, Scotland. May was blessed with many good friends in Calgary and at home in Brechin. She was a storyteller, poet, lover of good company, a devoted mother, and a loving and dedicated grandmother. For the last year May was kindly cared for by the staff and friends at the Cedars Villa nursing home. We all loved her dearly and will remember her for her laughter, her smile, her love for children, and for being a truly good and kind person to everyone she met. Peace at last. May is survived by her son Paul and daughter-in-law Jean, and her two grandsons, Rory and Alex, all of Calgary. She is also survived by her sister Betty in Adelaide and her brother Archie in Brechin. She will also be missed by Jean’s parents Helen and Leslie Durward of Calgary.
