Sitting Eagle

Obituary of Sitting Eagle

Our beloved mother left us suddenly on Friday, July 2, 2004, to be with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, also to join her loving husband John whom she was in deep mourning for. Pauline was born and raised on the Siksika Nation and attended the Crowfoot Indian Residential School. Later on, she married John Sitting Eagle and raised a family together. Pauline was a good and faithful wife, also a good mother who took pride in her children and grandchildren. She did her best in raising them up with good values and in the Catholic way of life. Pauline will be remembered for her good nature, understanding and helpful ways by all who were close to her, especially by her children whom she treasured. Pauline is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Radford) and Vivian (Richard); sons, Anthony, Stewart (Koren), Adrian, and Curtis (Janine); special granddaughters, Crystal and Erica and all her grandchildren; brother Joe (Claudia); sisters Evelyn (Pete) and Patricia. She will also be lovingly remembered the families of Drunken Chief, Big Snake, Breakers, Cranes and Doores. Also by her adopted children, the late Roy and Ethel Sitting Eagle?’s children; the late Emma Robinson’s boys; Sheila Calf; Peggy Sleigh; Debbie Leather; Doralee Wolf Child; Marlon Drunken Chief; Eddie McMaster; Robbie Sparvier; and aunties, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews and close cousins. Pauline was predeceased by her husband John; her parents, Pat and Maggie Drunken Chief; her brother Jimmy; and her sisters, Emma, Ethel, Jane, and Dorothy. The family would like to extend their thanks to Siksika Public Works, Education, Hidden Valley Resort, Home Care, and to all the generous people for their financial and emotional support.
