Obituary of Martha Jackson

Martha Francis Jackson of Olds, formerly of Cheadle, AB passed away at the Olds Hospital on Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at the age of 90 years. Martha was born on July 30, 1913 in Vancouver, BC. She moved with her family to France and then returned to farm in the Langdon area when Martha was twelve. After marrying Robert, they farmed in the Cheadle area for over forty years. She was very involved in the community and active in the Alberta Flying Farmers. Martha is survived by a daughter and two sons, Ann and Al Drumm of Vancouver Island, BC, Bob Jackson and Joan Moore of Olds, and George and Dallas Jackson of Calgary. She is also remembered by six grandchildren, Debbie Morgan of Calgary, Jodi Jackson of Ireland, Tannis Jackson of Westlock, AB, Jason Jackson, Trent Jackson, and Ashleigh Jackson, all of Calgary; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Martha was predeceased by her husband Robert Jackson and her sister Mary Barlow. A Family Graveside Service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. A Celebration of Martha’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday, June 28, 2004 at 2:30 P.M.
