Obituary of Eveline Tench

Evelyn Tench of Calgary passed away at home on Sunday, June 13, 2004 at the age of 93 years. Evelyn immigrated to Canada in 1925 with her family where they settled in the Silver Prairie District outside of Stettler. She met her husband Henry Tench in Stettler where they married in 1931. After Henry’s passing in 1956, Evelyn moved to Calgary. Here in Calgary, Evelyn was a long-time resident at the Rebecca Lodge. She kept active by traveling the world and volunteering her time to the Inn from the Cold and The Drop-In Centre. Evelyn is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Dolores and Doug Bramall; two grandchildren, Michael and his wife LaVerne and Tim; two special great-grandchildren, Kristopher and Sara; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Henry in 1956, four brothers and a sister. A Celebration of Evelyn’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 2:30 P.M.
