Obituary of Elizabeth Lilian Green

Surrounded by her family who loved her dearly, Elizabeth (Betty) Green passed away in her home on Thursday, June 10, 2004 at the age of 73 years, after a courageous fight with cancer. We will all miss her wonderful and caring spirit that she shared with all around her. Betty was born in London, England. She was the loving wife of the late John Green and mother to her two daughters, Carol (Wolfgang) Teppler and Liz (Ken) McDonald and Nana to her grandchildren, Matt, Ben, Carrie (Jay), and Ken. Betty is also survived by her brother Bill (Louise) Scott of Richmond, BC; her sisters, Joan Wiese and Margaret (Morley) Mazurak, all of Qualicum Beach, BC; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her special friend George Hogg and his loving family. She will be fondly remembered by her many friends in the Navy League, Kaleidoscope Painting Group, Air Crew Association, Southminster United Church, McDougall United Church, and by her wonderful, supportive neighbours and friends. She will also be remembered by many as an exceptional watercolour artist and as a talented seamstress. A Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held at McDougall United Church (8516 Athabasca Street S.E.) on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Bryan D. Derksen officiating.
