Obituary of Filomena DeMaria

Filomena DeMaria of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Rockyview General Hospital on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at the age of 87 years. Filomena was born on November 4, 1916 in Montorio Nei Frentani, C.B., Italy. She immigrated to Canada in 1955 to join her husband. Filomena’s favorite past-times was spending time with her family, baking and gardening. Filomena is survived by her children and their spouses, Louie and Sharon DeMaria, Nina and Keith Brackley, Wilma and Ermanno Fatica, Eda and Gerry DelPinto; and her grandchildren Lori Lowery, Jeffery DeMaria, Silvia and Randy Mauro, Chris Fatica, Liana, Anita and Amanda DelPinto; as well as a great granddaughter Darci Lowery. Filomena was predeceased by her beloved husband of sixty-one years, Joe in 1999. Filomena is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Wednesday June 9, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. George Mariadoss, Presider.
