Obituary of Margaret Mary Forest

Margaret Mary Forest of Calgary passed away at the Father Lacombe Care Centre on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at the age of 84 years. Margaret was born on March 11, 1920 in Yorkshire, England and grew up near Picture Butte, AB. She spent her early years in Lethbridge. After her marriage to Donald on December 27, 1945, they moved to Edmonton and started their family with twins. Eventually they moved to Calgary in 1961. Margaret enjoyed volunteering for ARBI (Association for the Rehabilitation of the Brain Injured) and for Meals on Wheels. Margaret is survived by her children, Katherine Calvert (Dale Portman), Ken Forest (Darlene), Susan Forest (Don Totten) and Sylvia Forest (Randy Fingland); seven grandchildren, Les Perras, Tara Forest, Amber Forest, Heather Osborne, Alec Osborne, Holly Totten, and Amy Totten; and four sisters, Sylvia Pinnock, Barbara Howe, Bette Flannigan and Joy Owens. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Donald Forest. Funeral Services will be held at Woodcliff United Church (5010 Spruce Drive S.W.) on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 11:00 A.M.
