Obituary of Jack Flatt

John Ernest (Jack) Flatt, beloved husband for 65 years of Mrs. Margaret (Peggy) Flatt of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre on Thursday, June 3, 2004 at the age of 88 years. Jack was born August 2, 1915 in Calgary. He was a fire fighter in the Navy during WWII and had been a fire fighter for the City of Calgary for thirty-five years. Jack married Margaret Morgan on June 30, 1938 in Calgary and have resided here all their lives. Jack was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over fifty years and was a life member of the B.P.O.E. He enjoyed curling, hunting, fishing and music. Besides his loving wife Peggy, Jack is survived by his daughter Verna Harrow of Calgary; three grandchildren Darren, Grant (Tanya), Terry (David) Cutting all of Calgary; five great-grandchildren Kailee, Kelsey, Taylor, Travis and Lyndsey. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday June 7, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
