Kimberly Lynn Yellow Sun passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 27, 2004 in Calgary, AB at the age of 28 years. Kimberly Lynn Yellow Sun was born on March 31, 1976 in Calgary, AB. Kim was raised by her “mom” Patricia Yellow Sun (grandmother) and resided in Calgary, AB. Kim was a fun-loving, out-going and a compassionate young lady who was blessed by those who knew her. Kim is survived by her loving family, her grandmothers, Rosealma Many Shots, Gertrude Turning Robe, and Patricia Yellow Sun; her precious daughter Jammie; her sisters, Karibeth Yellow Sun (Dustin), and Tracey Turning Robe; step-father, Jerome Medicine Traveller; Kim’s uncles and aunties, Eldon Yellow Sun (Karen), John Yellow Sun (Leslie), Pearline Depsy (Jerry), and Rosa Medicine Traveller; her adopted sisters, Bobbi Jo Scalplock (Francis), Emiline Turning Robe (Dwight), and Dawn Turning Robe (Harley); her adopted brothers, Kenneth Many Shots (Naomi), and Zennon Many Shots; Kim’s aunties and uncles Joan Turning Robe (Charles), Elizabeth Turning Robe (Dave), Charlene Wycotte (Brian), Dean Turning Robe (Wanda), Lillian Yellow Sun, Georgina Cardinal, Melvina McMaster (Charles), Angie Many Shots (Henry), Virginia Daniels, Regina Red Crow (Wesley), Duane Many Shots (Gabrielle); her cousins, Deanna Many Shots, Lee Ann Many Shots (Mike), Pam Many Shots (Greg), Melody Many Shots (Joe), Jackie Many Shots (Ado), Melani Many Shots, Thomsina Leather (Wayne), Melva McMaster, Crystal McMaster (James), Malcolm Many Shots (Rosie), Ashley and Melissa, Chasity Daniels (Theron), Jason and Shannon Daniels; Kim’s nieces and nephews, Jamsie, Shania, Matthew, Tiffany, Colten, Carmen, Chance, Dominick, and Shauntay Yellow Sun, Ashley, Terri-Lynn, Layne, Tarrell, Lexie, Matty, Amber, Sade, Ivory and Kiana Turning Robe, D.J., and Brenna Scalplock; her father Gerald Smokeyday; sister Kaylynn Thomas; grandparents, Quao and Colin Smokeyday; aunties, Donna, Crystal, and Sandra Smokeyday; uncles Burton, Donald, Dennis Smokeyday, and Roger Thomas; cousins, Shanna, and D.J. Smokeyday, Skylar Scott, Ty Deaflad, Wynona Thomas, Nicole Thomas, Jaired, Melissa, and Ashton Smokeyday. Kimberly was predeceased by her loving mother Vivian Yellow Sun in October 1997; her uncle Lindsay Yellow Sun in August 1997 and her grandfather Warner Scout in July 1999. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Virginia Daniels (Siksika Nation, AB), on Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at 7:00 P.M. and on Thursday, June 3, 2004. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (Siksika Nation, AB) on Friday, June 4, 2004, at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Ian Gagne, Presider.
