Obituary of Dorothy Prynallt

Dorothy Prynallt, dearly beloved of family and friends, passed away peacefully at the Rockyview General Hospital on Monday, May 24, 2004 in her 93rd year. Dorothy was born in Maymont, SK where she and her husband, Edmund, raised their son Leonard and two daughters, Patricia and Fern. At the age of fifty, Dorothy embarked on a career in nursing as an LPN, which spanned the next fifteen years of her life, brightening up countless lives with her sunny smile and infectious laugh. Retiring in Calgary, AB, she was loved and esteemed by all who came to know her. Dorothy will be greatly missed but always lovingly remembered by Leonard and Bev Prynallt of Richmond, BC, Patricia and Sam Campbell of Luseland, SK and Fern and Peter Hunter of Calgary, AB; eight grandchildren, Valerie Aitken of Richmond, BC, Steven Prynallt of Victoria, BC, Bryan and Cathy Prynallt of Richmond, BC, Duncan and Pat Campbell of Prince Albert, SK, Dean and Deane Campbell of Luseland, SK, Janice and Clayton Reade of Cando, SK, Ali Riley of Calgary, and John and Tamara Riley of Calgary; twelve great-grandchildren; and a sister Carrie Murphy of Winchester, OR. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Edmund in 1959. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Beverly Centre, Dorothy’s friend and physician, Dr. J. Van Olm, and the staff of Unit 82 at the Rockyview General Hospital.
