Obituary of Matthias Eagletail

Matthias (Moose) Dyson Allen Donald Eagletail, beloved son of Simone Eagletail and Don Rowan of Tsuu T’ina Nation, passed away suddenly on the morning of May 14, 2004 at the age of 3 ¢ months. He had beautiful brown eyes and he was always smiling, laughing and giggling in a joyful way. Matthias leaves behind a loving sister Seanna; grandparents, Bella Eagletail and Allan Little Moustache; paternal grandparents, Donald and April Rowan and Lena Bearhead; maternal great-grandparents, Fred and Eliza Eagletail and Leonard Little Moustache; paternal great-grandparents, Sarah Dodginghorse, Gladys Bearspaw, Mary Jane Starlight, and Clara Bearhead; uncles Levon and Kobe Eagletail, Jacoby Graham, Matthew, Sidney Rowan, Aaron (Bernie), Glen (Stacey), Hal (Aimee), Ivan, Kyle (Vanessa), Lenny (Tanya), Danny (Karen) Cornel, Ivan (Bernadette) Little Moustache, Albert (Doreen), Gerald (Donna), Gilbert (Kathy), Louie (Laura), Junior (Jeannie), and Tommy Heavenfire; and aunts, Lynn (Wes) Prairie Chicken, Corrine (Jerry), Joanne (Brennan), Darlene Eagletail, Gladys (Jim), Barb (Neills), and Alvina (Rick) Heavenfire. He was predeceased by his great-great-grandparents, Allen and Maggie Prairie Chicken, and Albert Sr. and Alice Little Moustache; grandmother Helen Little Moustache; aunts, Kathleen, Mary Little Moustache, Mary Onespot, Louisa and Sam, Marie Large; uncle Randy Eagletail; cousin Hope Frazier Eagletail; paternal great-great-grandparents, Christina Heavenfire, Edward Rowan; uncles, Cyrus Bear Head and Lance Paul; as well as many other members of the Prairie Chicken, Little Moustache and Yaholnitsky families; adopted family, Randy (Caroline) Bear Chief, Terry Crane and Lorraine Stevens. Our apologies for missing anyone. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Hal Eagletail (Tsuu T’ina Nation, AB) on Monday, May 17, 2004 at 7:00 P.M. Traditional Funeral Services will be held at the residence of Hal Eagletail (Tsuu T’ina Nation, AB) on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. with Elder Fred Eagletail officiating.
