Obituary of Harold Alexander Green

Harold (Hank) Alexander Green of Calgary passed away at the Peter Lougheed Centre on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at the age of 90 years. Hank was born on March 30, 1914 in Chatham, ON. As a child he lived in Louisiana and Missouri, later residing in Michigan and Fort Frances, ON. He worked in Atikokan, ON for C. A. Pitts on the diversion of the river and draining of the lake at Steep Rock Iron Mines for ten years. Hank retired from DCL (Defense Construction) in 1974. Hank is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Jack and Doreen Green of Thunder Bay, ON, Harry and Margaret Green of Sauble Beach, ON, Fred Green of Calgary, and Ray and Carol Green of Scotch Creek, BC; three daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Bill Boyle of Thunder Bay, ON, Patricia and Bill Ditchfield and Jacquie and Miles Williams, all of Calgary; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Estelle (nee Frenette); his second wife Evelyn (nee Proctor); and two daughters, Judy Lawrence and Theresa Godard. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Monday, May 17, 2004 at 3:00 P.M. with the Rev.
