Obituary of Mary Merritt

Mary Merritt (nee Ferniuk) of Calgary, passed away at the Sarcee Hospice on Tuesday May 11, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 69 years. Mary was born August 5, 1934 in Kimarno, MB., and resided in Winnipeg before moving to Calgary in 1989. Here, Mary was employed as an administration assistant in the oil & gas industry. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family. She is survived by her two sons Calvin Merritt and his fiancÚ Deanna Myson and Colin Merrett of Calgary; two grandchildren Alissa, Ashley and their mother Susan Merritt of Calgary. She is also survived by a special friend Robbin Shandel. She was predeceased by her husband Morley in 1985, her parents, a sister and two brothers. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday May 18, 2004 at 2:30 P.M. with Carol Barwick Chaplain, Hospice Calgary officiating.
