Obituary of Harold Edward Bowman

Harold (Hal) Edward Bowman of Calgary passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre on Sunday, May 9, 2004 as a result of a tragic accident at the age of 72 years. Hal was a well-known Oil and Gas Entrepreneur who worked world-wide, a patron of the Arts and a Sports Enthusiast. He will be sadly missed and always remembered for his generous spirit, love of travel and marvellous sense of humour. Harold is remembered by his children, Joanne (John) Gerlitz of Calgary, David (Sherri) Bowman of Vancouver, WA, Nancy Bowman of Washington DC, Allison (Gregory) Keil of Huntington, NY; grandchildren, Chris, Pamela, Carissa, Shane, Ginger and Ivy; a sister Muriel Lauder of Kelowna, BC; brothers Gordon Bowman of Nassau, Bahamas, and Irvin (Hazel) Bowman of Victoria, BC; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Mary Bowman; his second wife Els Bowman; and a sister Helen Lanthier. Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church (1311 – 4th Street S.W.) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
