Obituary of Evelyn Jane Dobbs

Evelyn Jane Dobbs (nee Roach) of Innisfail (formerly of Calgary), passed away with her family by her side at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Friday, May 7, 2004 at the age of 71 years. Evelyn was born in Calgary on February 2, 1933. She moved to Maple Creek, SK where she received her early education. In 1954 she graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Calgary General Hospital. Evelyn served with the Victorian Order of Nurses and worked for the Calgary Public Health Board. She was an active member of St. Gabriel’s Anglican Church in Calgary and of St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Innisfail. Evelyn is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Glen Rowland and Cheryl Dobbs of Innisfail, and a daughter Cathleen Joan Dobbs of Calgary; and grandchildren, Brooke Maggie Dobbs, Taylor Samuel Dobbs, Dillon Kenneth Andrus-Dobbs, and Holly Jane Andrus-Dobbs. She is also survived by a brother Richard Roach of Calgary. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Dobbs and brother Robert Roach. Funeral Services will be held at St. Gabriel’s Anglican Church (504 – 30th Avenue N.W.) on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Dennis G. Frayne officiating.
