Alberta “May” May of Calgary passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on Friday, April 16, 2004 at the age of 91 years. A proud Calgarian, May was born in and lived in Calgary all her life. She was an accomplished seamstress and a positive, hardworking creative person. A member of Holy Cross Anglican Church (formerly St. Michael’s and All Angels), May was also active in charity work and volunteered many years with Meals on Wheels and Confederation Park Seniors Centre. Proudly independent, May lived in her own home until the age of ninety, thanks to many friends and caring people such as Lois Sproule, Dr. Nelson and nurse Sandy, David Knight, Calgary Home Support, and the Rev. Brian Way. May will be missed by her daughters and son-in-law, Irene Bandura and Eleanor May (David Thompson); five grandsons, Phillip and Russell Bandura, Geoffrey, Daniel and Douglas May; niece Judy (Stan) Hall; and daughter-in-law Vicki May. She was predeceased by her husband Walter; two sons, David and Edward; and her sister Nancy Tuttle. Funeral Services will be held at The Cathedral Church of the Redeemer (218 – 7th Avenue S.E.) on Monday, May 3, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Brian D. Way and the Right Rev. Douglas A.
