Obituary of Elsie Baum

Elsie Baum of Calgary passed away at the Bethany Care Centre on Monday, April 26, 2004 at the age of 91 years. Elsie was born on April 30, 1912 in Morse, SK in her grandfather’s sod house. She moved to Calgary in 1949, where she worked at Reed’s China, later Cavalier China and Bethany Care Centre until her retirement. Elsie will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Kathaleen (Clarence) Nickel, Bernice (Bill) Wiste and Sylvia (John) Jack; a sister, Doris Ratzlaff; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Fred in 1981, six brothers and three sisters.
