Obituary of Andrew James Morgan

It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Andrew James Morgan of Calgary, beloved son of Doug and Kim, and brother to Justine, on Monday, April 19, 2004. Andrew was born on November 19, 1989 in Lethbridge, AB, where he lived until August 1999 when he and his family moved to Calgary. Presently Andrew was in Grade Nine at Mid Sun Jr. High School. As a vibrant energetic teenager Andrew’s interests included soccer, skiing, scuba diving, biking, and camping. Andrew’s passion was scouting and he was an active Patrol Leader of the 75th Midnapore Scouts 2 Troop. He had an artistic streak and his sketch book is filled with inspired drawings of Super Heroes. As a seven year old, while walking along the Old Man River with his sister and dad, Andrew discovered the fossilized remains of a seventy-three million year old Mosasaur. His discovery is displayed at the Tyrell Museum of Paleontology. Andrew is survived by his parents, Doug and Kim Morgan; his sister Justine; grandparents, Gord and Doreen Skorobohach and Bob and Shirley Morgan; as well as his great-grandparents, Bill and Pearl (Gigo and Baba) Skorobohach. He was predeceased by granny Barbara Morgan; and great-grandparents, Wilbur and Rae Young and Charles and Alvina Mills. A Celebration of Andrew’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Saturday, April 24, 2004 at 10:00 A.M.
