Obituary of Gary Allan Kaquitts

Gary Kaquitts was called home by the Great Creator on Sunday, April 18, 2004. Gary was a quiet, shy, fun-loving person. At the time of his death, he was a student at the Nakoda College, striving for success and education. He took part in the Agricultural Program for three years, and also attended Olds College for a brief time. Gary was an athletic person, participating in sports such as basketball, baseball, volleyball, skiing, bull fighting, camping in the wilderness of Rabbit Lake, and his favorite of all, snowboarding in the beautiful mountains. He would greet you with a smile and fondly respect the Elders with a handshake. Gary will be sadly missed by his loving parents, Betty and Chris; two brothers, Christon and Riley; a very special friend Bonnie Rider; step-sister Deanne Rabbit; grandmother Georgie Kaquitts; great aunties Donna (Derek) and Alice (Tommy); grandpa Watson (Doreen); step-grandmother Mary Saulteaux; grandfather Norman Poucette; six uncles Albert (Krista), Waylon (Sharon), Mathew (Gloria), Harvey (Tonya), Torrin, and Johnny (Maureen); aunties Donna May, Lawanda (Ian), and Margaret Bearspaw; special nephew Joerelle; special brother-in-law Karlo Ear; and special friends, Charlie Beaver, Reynard Poucette, Terry Ear, Brennon Mark, Chris Goodstoney, and Donald Salter. He is also survived by fifteen aunties and uncles, and thirty cousins. Gary was predeceased by his grandfather Albert; great-grandparents; and recently by cousin Tranadine Kaquitts and auntie Teresa Kaquitts in January 2004, and a niece, Teanna Kaquitts in February 2004. At this time of loss the family would like to apologize for anyone they have missed. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Betty Kaquitts and Chris Frenchman on Wednesday, April 21, 2004 and Thursday, April 22, 2004. Funeral Services will be held at Morley School Gymnasium (Morley, AB) on Friday, April 23, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. Graveside Service to follow at Wesley Cemetery, Morley, AB.
