Obituary of Albert Kweku Goodrich
Albert Kweku Goodrich, beloved husband of Jacqueline of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on Saturday, April 17, 2004 at the age of 47 years.
Albert was born in Sekondi, Ghana. He moved to Ottawa with his parents Dorland and Jane Goodrich at the age of six. Albert returned to Ghana and attended Saint Augustine College. He returned to Winnipeg, MB and attended Gordon Bell High School. Albert completed a degree in Computer Science at the University of Manitoba. He also taught at a private college in Winnipeg for two years, and then alter moved to Lethbridge, where he taught at the Lethbridge Community College. Albert moved to Calgary in 1987 to pursue a career in software development and later formed a small business called Stable Solutions Inc.
Besides his loving wife, Albert is remembered by a daughter Shari; his mother Jane Goodrich; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Gladstone and Louise Davidson; sisters-in-law, Sandra and Ava Davidson; brothers-in-law, Kiplin and Andrew Davidson; and a niece Makida Jones. He will also be missed by his brother Kwesi Edzii and family in Ghana, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Sunday, April 25, 2004 between 4:00 P.M. and 6:30 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Ascension Catholic Church (1100 Berkshire Boulevard N.W.) on Monday, April 26, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. with the Reverend Ignatius Tran, Presider.
