Obituary of Alexander Lamont

Alexander (Alex) Rillstone Lamont of Calgary passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at the age of 94 years. Alex was born in Calgary and graduated from Central High School. He joined his father in A. Lamont & Company Real Estate and Insurance business where he managed the Real Estate side of the business well into his 80’s. Alex was an active member of the Probus Club for many years. Alex is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Bob and Carol Lamont of Edmonton; two daughters and one son-in-law, Anne and Robert McDougall of Nanaimo, B.C., and Kathy Christian of Ponoka, AB; two grandsons, Ken and Andi Lamont of Calgary, and Pat and Barb Lamont of Abbotsford, B.C.; four great-grandchildren, Cameron and Brooke Lamont, and Kyle and Tyler Lamont. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Edgar and Margaret Lamont of Calgary, and a sister Alberta Greidanus of Edmonton. Alex was predeceased by his dear friend Phyllis Taylor in February 2003.
