Obituary of Franca Gushaty

Franca Gushaty (nee Greco) beloved wife of Blaine Gushaty and mother of Nicholas and Dana of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Thursday, April 8, 2004 at the age of 42 years. Franca was born on July 1, 1961 in San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1966. She graduated from St. Francis High School in 1980. Franca’s warm personality allowed her to form many life long friendships. This came easily to Franca because she always put others first. Franca genuinely cared and will be missed greatly by all who knew her. Besides her husband and loving children, Franca is survived by her parents Giovanni and Serafina Greco of Calgary; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Teresa Cundy of Ottawa; Mary and Marco Buccini of White Rock, B.C., Anna and Kelly Taylor of Calgary; and a brother Tony Greco of Calgary; as well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and many friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (404 Northmount Place N.W.) on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. A. Wayne Poile, Presider.
