Obituary of Steffania Victoria Marshall

Steffania Marshall was born to Christina (nee Welygan) and William N. Sturby on October 25, 1936 in Gronlid, SK, and passed away suddenly but peacefully April 10, 2004 at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, AB. Steffania was married to William Marshall of Melfort, SK on August 11, 1962. While living in Melfort, three children, James, RaeAnn, and Lisa were born. In 1970 the family moved to Saskatoon, SK where Steffania (Stevie) continued employment with the Royal Bank. This was followed by additional service at Royal Bank branches in Richmond, BC and Calgary until her early retirement in the fall of 1991. For the past ten years, Stevie enjoyed the Okanagan climate while living in Vernon, BC. Steffania leaves to mourn her husband Bill Marshall; son and daughter-in-law James and Jacquie Marshall of Peach Land, BC; two daughters and sons-in-law, RaeAnn and Rick Moffatt, and Lisa and Michael Sotski, all of Calgary; and the eight beautiful grandchildren who adored her, Colton, Tyler, Nicholas and Tanner Marshall, Jaylynn and Tyson Moffatt, and Shaine and Brooke Sotski. She also leaves to mourn her mother Christina Sturby; her sister and brother-in-law, Jeannie and Walter Garchinski; four sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law, Nettie Sturby, Gail and Bill Bearwald, Veronica Marshall (Clarence), Wendy and Lewis MacDougall, and Robert Marshall; as well as her precious nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and a vast number of other relatives and close friends. Stevie will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her father William N. Sturby; a sister and brother-in-law, Lucy and Harry Hasslum; a brother Nick Sturby; a sister Mary Sturby; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gertie and Mort Marshall. Funeral Services will be held at Melfort United Church (Melfort, SK) on Thursday, April 15, 2004 at 2:00 P.M.
