Obituary of Dmytro Tomyn
Dmytro (Metro) Tomyn, beloved husband of Gladys Tomyn of Calgary, passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on Friday, April 9, 2004 at the age of 72 years.
Dmytro was born August 11, 1931 in Radisson, SK. He enlisted in the Army on December 2, 1950 and served in South Korea from August 23, 1951 to July 26, 1952. Metro then enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on August 18, 1960 in Vancouver and retired June 20, 1974 in Saskatoon, SK.
Besides his loving wife of fifty years, Metro is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Marilyn Tomyn of Calgary, and Shirley and Les Hand of Heriot Bay, BC; as well as numerous relatives.
