Obituary of Norma Russell

Norma Russell, beloved wife of the late Ralph Russell passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 1, 2004 shortly after moving back to Calgary. Norma was born in Calgary, where she met and married Ralph in 1941. She enjoyed sewing and many crafts, while raising two daughters. Later Norma joined Sakkara Temple Daughters of the Nile. After Ralph retired they moved to Victoria where Norma became an active member of the Victoria Chapter of Eastern Star and Miriam Temple Daughters of the Nile. In recent years, she enjoyed playing bridge with her many friends in Victoria. Norma will be lovingly remembered by her family: Carol and Ib Moller, Donna and Ken Carter; her grandchildren, Tina and Daryl Chernoff of Fort Good Hope, NWT, Carl Moller and fiancÚ Sandra Schweitzer, Jeff and Jamie-Anne Kearns, Katherine Kearns and Roddy McKenzie, Steven Kearns; her great-grandchildren, Michael and Cadence Chernoff and her niece Barbara and Earl Gray of Parksville, BC. Norma was predeceased by her husband Ralph in 1988. Norma’s life was celebrated at a private service in Calgary. She will be interred with Ralph in Victoria.
