Obituary of Irene Louise Lee

Irene Louise Lee, beloved wife of Bill Lee of Calgary, passed away at the High River Hospital on Saturday, March 27, 2004 at the age of 77 years. Irene married Bill Lee some fifty-seven years ago on February 28, 1947 in Saskatoon, SK. In their love, they raised three children, Reg Lee, Gail (Heggs) Lee and Glen Lee. Irene loved unconditionally, spoke her mind freely and harboured no grudges. In life, like humour, Irene could always take as good as she could give. She cheered for the underdogs in both sports and life. Irene was a devoted wife and mother who did not shy away from work. While in Calgary, she worked at numerous vocations to help support her family. At the Baker Memorial Sanitarium Hospital, Irene provided loving care to severely disabled children that lived too short a life and have predeceased her. She cheered for these little underdogs and brought happiness to a rather difficult existence. Besides her husband Bill, Irene will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gail and Ron Heggs, and Glen and Tammy Lee, all of Calgary, and Reg and Maureen Lee of Saskatoon; as well as six grandchildren, Chad and Krista-Lee Heggs, Kaleb and Karla Lee, Sydney Heggs and Megan Lee.
