Obituary of Joseph Teminsky

Joseph Teminsky, beloved husband of Maureen passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at the age of 78 years. Joe was born in Lamont, AB on November 28, 1925 and at the age of sixteen, he joined the Royal Canadian Navy. After the war, he moved to Vancouver and attended UBC. Joe began working for Sereth Lumber and during this time met his wife Maureen. The family moved to Calgary in 1957 where Joe began a thirty-four year career in Calgary’s oil patch before retiring in 1991. After retiring, Joe spent many hours enjoying his love of golf, music and literature, sharing this enthusiastically with his children and grandchildren. Most of all, he was a wonderful father and grandfather who gave of himself completely and unselfishly. Joe is survived by his loving wife Maureen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and David MacKay and Robyn and Rob Kramer; son and daughter-in-law, Garth and Susan Teminsky; two brothers Bill and George Teminsky; three sisters, Kay Unger, Pearl Hansuk and Mary Hamlin; and nine grandchildren, Devon, Sarah, Kaitie, Erin, Joseph, Scott, Megan, Hannah, and Mark.
