Obituary of William Andrew Wasson

William (Bill) Andrew Wasson of Ghost River, AB passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at the age of 89 years. Bill was born on February 11, 1915 in Munsen, AB and has been a resident of the Ghost River area since the 1940’s. He was a farmer for most of his life who had a great ability to work with his hands. He had a passion for making things with his metal lathe but also had talents for carpentry, woodworking and anything else to which he put his mind. Bill was an accomplished self-taught musician who played for dances at the Beaupre Community Centre for over forty years. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and spending time with nature. Bill is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Donna Wasson of Bearspaw; a daughter and son-in-law, Anne Wasson and Vic Norman of Cremona, AB; a grandson Michael Wasson of Bearspaw; a sister-in-law Donna Butters of Ghost River; a cousin Jessie Kerfoot of Cochrane, AB; and three nephews, Richard Wigmore, Erik Butters and Lamont Butters. He was predeceased by his loving wife Evelyn in 1990. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Monday, April 5, 2004 at 2:30 P.M. with the Rev. Heather Koots officiating.
