Obituary of Miguel Reinaldo Lobos-Vergara
Miguel Reinaldo Lobos-Vergara, beloved husband of Mrs. Irma Lobos of Calgary, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Centre on Thursday, April 1, 2004 after a long illness at the age of 71 years.
Miguel was born on July 2, 1932 in Vina Del Mar, Chile. He emigrated from Chile in 1979 where he had been a radio and newspaper journalist. Miguel had a great passion for tango music, he loved reading the classics of Spanish literature and also enjoyed watching sports, particularly boxing.
Besides his loving wife Irma, Miguel is also survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jorge and Gladys Lobos, Reyaldo and Marcela Lobos, Rodrigo Lobos; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Luisita and Roberto Arancibia, and Ximena and Luis Palacios, all of Calgary; seven grandchildren, Marcia, Mauricio, Pamela, Rodrigo Jr., Luis Jr., Karina, and Sebastian. He is also survived by a sister Virginia, and by numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. Miguel was predeceased by his parents, Jose Miguel and Hortensia.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Saturday, April 3, 2004 at 2:30 P.M. To forward condolences go to www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
