Obituary of Donald Bremner Webster

Donald Bremner Webster passed away at the Mayfair Care Centre on Friday, March 19, 2004, after a long struggle with diabetes, at the age of 70 years. Don was born in PEI and educated in Nova Scotia at Acadia University and Nova Scotia Technical College. A professional engineer, he spent his career in petroleum exploration. He moved to Western Canada where he became a pioneer in the High Arctic and East Coast Offshore frontiers. He was a life member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists & Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA). He enjoyed his leisure time and retirement years restoring classic Jaguar automobiles. His meticulous and professional workmanship resulted in numerous trophies and awards. Don will be remembered for his intelligence, ingenuity and integrity, as well as his fondness for candy, cars and cats. Don will be greatly missed by his wife, Myrna; his children, Elizabeth, Kathryn (Phil) Johnson, Donald (Shelley), and Geoffrey (Peg); his grandchildren, Kendall, Jocelyn, Donald, Sydney, Ben and Megan; as well as his brother Ross and his family.
