Obituary of Kathleen Wilson

Kathleen Wilson, beloved wife of Frank Wilson of Calgary, passed away peacefully with her family at her side after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease at the Father Lacombe Nursing Home on Monday, March 8, 2004 at the age of 79 years. Kay was born and raised in Calgary and was a loyal fan of both the Flames and the Stampeders. She was an avid golfer and curler, enjoyed many hours with her coin and stamp collections and playing Wonderword. Kay was a forty-three year member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Branch 154, Royal Canadian Legion. She also worked for many years for the United Way of Calgary and the MS Society. Kay had an infectious sense of humour which she maintained until the end, bringing smiles and joy to her family. She thoroughly enjoyed the many trips she and Frank took all over the world. She lovingly watched her grandchildren, Brad and Shannon, grow up and immensely enjoyed watching them play hockey and soccer. Kay is survived by her loving husband Frank; sons and daughters-in-law Dave Drobot, Don (Norma) Drobot and family and Dale (Lynne) Drobot; grandchildren, Brad and Shannon Drobot; stepson Bob (Shirley) Drobot, their children Allan (Esther) Drobot and daughter Jennifer; stepson Glen Wilson; and grandchildren Megan and Carmen Wilson; and great-grandchild Owen. She is also survived by her sister Pat Smith and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Thursday, March 11, 2004 at 2:30 P.M. with the Rev. Bill Ruckdashel officiating.
