Obituary of Margaret Jean Moore

Jean Moore, dearly loved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, “G.G.”, and friend of Calgary went peacefully to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 29, 2004 at the age of 89 years. Jean was healthy and active on earth until her very last day. Employed as a Stenographer for the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II, she married Charlie Moore in Vancouver in 1944. After her service involvement, Jean continued her work as a secretary for several law firms until 1970. An interest in starting a business, and a love of children encouraged her to open Kiddies Korner Day Care in the Penbrooke Meadows community of Calgary. Her business flourished under her direction, right up until her retirement at 73 years of age. After retirement, Jean enjoyed china painting as an active pursuit and was member of the Confederation Park Seniors Center. She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Bill Lenz (Calgary) and Leila and Doug Bergquist (Wainwright, AB); her brother and sister-in-law Richard and Luella Foley (New Westminster, BC); her sister-in-law Mabel Foley (Calgary); her grandchildren, Steve and Candace Lenz, Mike and Caroline Lenz, Tammy Lenz, and Keith Bergquist; five great-grandchildren, Jessica, Megan, Cody, Kristen, and Courtney Lenz; as well as many nieces and nephews who also love her. She has joined her heavenly family including her husband Charles (1962), son Gary (1954), mother Cora Foley (1967), father Richard (1924), and brother Arthur Foley (2003). A Celebration of her well-lived life will be held at The Centre Street Church (4120 Centre Street North) on Thursday, March 4, 2004 at 1:00 P.M., officiated by the Rev. Dr. Henry Schorr and Rev.
