Obituary of Ida Maria Giustini

On Tuesday, February 24, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer, Ida left us to be at peace with God, leaving a large void in the lives of her loving family. Ida beloved wife of the late Antonio Giustini was born on February 4, 1929 in Ofena P. L’aquila, Italy. She married Antonio in May of 1953, came to Calgary the same year and has resided here since. Ida will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Ida leaves behind three sons and daughters-in-law, Rico and Nancy, Sergio and Grace and Lino and Tracey all of Calgary. She is also survived by nine grandchildren Michael (Carrie), Michelle, Jordan, Stephen, Jennifer, Katherine, Noah, Stephanie and Jonathan; and two great-grandchildren Emma and Arianna. Ida is also survived by one brother and sister-in-law Antonio and Marilena Pacione of Calgary; two sisters and brothers-in-law Maria and Renato Bonit of Fameck, France and Iole and Edoardo Lancione of Ofena, Italy; five brothers-in-law and eight sisters-in-law Archiemede and Emilia Giustini and Lina and Alfredo Mosca all of France, Giliberto and Nina Giustini, Aleandro and Emilia Giustini, Alberico and Margaret Giustini, Angela Pacione, Nella Pacione and Pina Pacione all of Calgary; and many nieces, nephews and friends of Calgary, Italy and France. Ida was predeceased by her son Carmelino Giustini; parents Giuseppe and Carmela Pacione; brothers Nino, Domenico, Rodolfo Pacione and sister-in-law Anna; and brother-in-law Giulio D’Innocente. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian & English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Friday, February 27, 2004 at 10:30 A.M. with the Rev George Mariadoss Presider.
