Obituary of Marion Parker White

Marion Parker White of Calgary passed away after a short illness at the Rockyview General Hospital on Monday, February 23, 2004 at the age of 86 years. Born in Halifax, NS, November 23, 1917 to Herbert Parker Story and Lucy Matilda Theakston, Marion arrived in Calgary with her husband in 1945, and was a long-time resident of the Elbow Park community. She was a librarian with various branches of the Calgary Public Library for a number of years. Marion is survived by a son Bob White and his wife Jane; a daughter Lynn Forbes; grandchildren Jarrod, Jill, Michael and his wife Katheryn; nieces Janet Costea and Diane Bullis and their families; her dear childhood friend Margaret Bunker of Sackville, NB; and family in Scotland. She was predeceased by her beloved husband William McNeil White in 1989, and her sister and brother-in-law Edith and Ed Falconer. Our kind and gracious mother will be sadly missed.
