Obituary of Christopher Allen Leong

Chris Leong of Calgary, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at the Foothills Medical Centre on Thursday, February 12, 2004 at the age of 30 years. Chris was a native Calgarian and graduated from Lord Beaverbrook High School in ’91. He began his employment with the City of Calgary Transit Department in ’97. Chris valued the many friends he made at Calgary Transit. These people were more than just his coworkers, they were his close friends and supported him through his illness. He was also a member of the Calgary Chinese 10-Pin Bowling Association. We will remember Chris as an outgoing and happy person who was always selfless and put others first. Chris is survived by his loving parents, Al and Thresa Leong; sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Hang Hong; nephew Jonathan, grandmothers Hiu Kam Lan Leong and Ngan Siu Tsang; fiancÚ Seonaid ‘Showie’, all of Calgary, and by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, February 20, 2004 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 10:30 A.M. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
