Obituary of Gerald Leonard Swain

Gerald Leonard (Jerry) Swain of Calgary passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Sunday, February 8, 2004 at the age of 57 years. The loss of Jerry was sudden and he will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Jerry will be remembered for his special love for people and all living things. Known as a carefree spirit, Jerry can now soar with the eagles and his soul is now free to go places and see people. He is no longer earthbound. Besides his two sisters, Heather (Frank) and Gail (Jeff), Jerry is survived by three nephews, Kerry, Kevin and Ricki; four nieces, Diana (Jeff), Amanda (Ron), Tammy (Dwayne), and Janelle; long time special friend Violet Worme and daughters Lisa and Laura; step-grandchildren Hilard and Junior; as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Elsie and John Swain and two brothers, Kenny and Lawrence Swain. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Thursday, February 12, 2004 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, February 13, 2004 at 2:30 P.M. with Bishop Paul Tolley, officiating.
