Obituary of Harry Stewart Vickers
Harry Stewart (Stew) Vickers, beloved husband of sixty-five years of Mrs. Lucille Vickers of Calgary, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Centre on Friday, February 6, 2004 at the age of 90 years.
Stew was born on April 29, 1913 in Calgary. He had worked for CPR Telecommunications for forty-eight years. Stew had a passion for golf and was a member of the Elks Golf Course for many years.
Besides his loving wife Lucille, Stew will be missed by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ron Vickers and Gordon and Joan Vickers all of Calgary. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren and their spouses: Leah and Steve Wilson, Christa and Fraser Abbott and Gary and Lisa Vickers and great-granddaughter Alexa Wilson. Stew is also survived by his sister Audrey Brownjohn of Osoyoos, BC as well as nieces and nephews in BC.
