Obituary of Tanya Rae Louise Patmore-Taylor

Tanya Rae Louise Patmore-Taylor, beloved wife of Brad Taylor of Calgary, passed away at home on Saturday, January 31, 2004, after a long courageous battle with cancer at the age of 33 years. On Saturday, January 31, 2004, after a prolonged illness, Tanya began her final journey to join her father Allen Patmore (Papa) who predeceased her in 1999. Throughout her life Tanya has been an inspiration to family, friends and work associates, leading by example and demonstrating the values of truth and integrity. She will be remembered for her strength and undiminished courage during her seven-year struggle with breast cancer, and her never-failing sense of humour that sustained her friends and care-givers. Also memorable were her considerable talents with poetry and the written word (www.poetry.com). As an artist her portraits and landscapes were rich in details and color. But it was as mother, friend and confidant that Tanya excelled. Besides her loving husband, Tanya is survived by her daughter Emma-Leigh Taylor of Calgary. She is also survived by her mother Denise Patmore of Cranbrook, BC; her twin sister Jennifer (Bill) Lindsay of Cranbrook, BC; brothers, David (Colleen) Patmore of Chetwynd, BC and Steven (Debbie) Patmore of Sparwood, BC; her grandparents James and Phil Shaw of Cranbrook, BC; father-in-law and mother-in-law Brian and Rita Taylor and brother-in-law Gary (Randi) Taylor all of Calgary, AB; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and loving friends. Tanya was predeceased by her father Allen Patmore of Cranbrook, BC. She will be sorely missed by husband Brad, daughter Emma-Leigh and all her family. Funeral Services will be held at McPherson Funeral Service (2200 – 2 St S. Cranbrook, BC) on Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 2:00 P.M with Pastor Paras Persad, of Eastside Community Baptist Church of Calgary officiating.
