Obituary of Margaret Hogge Russu

It is with deepest sorrow we announce the passing of our Aunt Mrs. Margaret Russu who passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Centre on Saturday, January 31, 2004 at the age of 78 years after a short battle with pneumonia. Her family and friends will miss her. Mrs. Russu was born and raised in Dysart, SK. She lived in Regina and worked for many years with her brother Bill at Kyle’s Sporting Goods before moving to Winnipeg, MB and Kelowna, BC, prior to making her residence in Calgary. Margaret is survived by two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth (William) Kyle of Regina, SK and Doris (Walter) Kyle of St. Louis, MO; three nieces and two nephews, Joanne (Monty) Fruman of Calgary, Doris (Gary) Reed of Seattle, WA, Janice Kyle of Regina, Bill (Cathy) Kyle of Regina, and Doug (Patricia) Kyle of Saskatoon, SK. She is also survived by grandnieces and grandnephews, Rae-Leen and Kyle Remenda of Calgary, Jordy and Will Kyle of Regina and Courtnee and Kaylyn Kyle of Saskatoon. She was so proud of grandnieces and nephews and the great accomplishments that they achieved in sports, scholastics and community. She loved to hear daily reports of their entire goings-on. Her humour and laughter will be greatly missed by us all. Her dear bright blue eyes and cheerful face are pleasant to recall. She had a loving word for each and died beloved by all. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday, February 6, 2004 at 2:30 P.M.
