Obituary of Stephen Valentine Marter

Stephen Valentine Marter passed away peacefully in Calgary on Sunday, February 1, 2004 at the age of 84 years. Stephen was born on August 16, 1919 in Yellow Creek, SK. He served with the Royal Canadian Navy as Chief Petty Officer. Following his return from service, he married Frieda in 1961. Steve worked for many years as a heavy duty mechanic for Canadian Western Natural Gas Company, retiring in June 1979. Steve is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Ralph, and son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Laurie, as well as his four grandchildren, Dylan, Alana, Trevor, and Diana, and close friend Muriel. He was predeceased by his wife Frieda in 1978. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Thursday, February 5, 2004 at 3:00 P.M.
