Obituary of Roy John Deck

It is with great sadness we announce that our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Roy Deck, passed away peacefully at the Agape Hospice on Friday, January 30, 2004, at the age of 82 years. Roy farmed in Denzil, SK, moving to Calgary in 1972 where he was employed in the home construction industry until his retirement in 1984. He enjoyed traveling and took great pleasure in spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild. Roy is survived by his loving wife Eva of fifty-eight years; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda (Joe)Usselman, and Marilyn (Rod)Rundell; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ray (Bobbi), Len, and Brian (Teresa). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, a great grandchild, a brother, four sisters, three sisters-in-law, and many friends. Roy was predeceased by his son Thomas in 1959. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1525 – 45th Street S.E.) on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1525 – 45th Street S.E.) on Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at 10:30 A.M. with the Rev. Dominic Pham Van Bao OP, Presider.
