Obituary of Helen Higgins

Helen “Grace” Claire Higgins (nee Parker), beloved wife of Charlie Higgins of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Saturday, January 31, 2004 at the age of 54 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Grace was born in Wolfville, NS on March 18, 1949 and was raised and educated in Middleton, NS. She attended Macdonald Consolidated School and the Nova Scotia Land and Survey Institute in Lawrencetown. She moved to Alberta in 1968, residing in Calgary and Grande Prairie. She was a wonderful, kind person with a very compassionate heart. Grace was truly loved and will be sadly missed by her loving husband Charlie, daughter Natalie Sanders (Doug) of Calgary, son Rupert Higgins (Rhonda) of Medicine Hat, granddaughter Claire Sanders, mother Phyllis Parker of Middleton, NS, sister Jeannie Pelton (Shirley) of Dartmouth, NS, and many relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W., Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at Middleton Baptist Church in Middleton, NS on Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton, NS.
