Obituary of Edward Charles Major

Edward (Ed) Charles Major, beloved husband of Joanne Elizabeth Major of Calgary, passed away suddenly in Peace River, AB on Thursday, January 29, 2004 at the age of 38 years. Ed will always be remembered for his smile, warm heart and unconditional love for his family and the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and most of all spending time with his children. Besides his loving wife, Ed is remembered by his five children, Kristina, Kathleen, Christopher, Michael and Jennifer; his parents Annetta Smith of Calgary and Gordon and Arlene Major of Maple Ridge, BC; and his grandparents May and Guy Waymen of Edmonton. He is also survived by two brothers Douglas Major of Calgary and Raymond and Lisa Major of Airdrie; two brothers-in-law, Michael and Robin Murray; and numerous loving extended family. Ed will be deeply missed by his best friend and running partner, Bill Evans, and all the staff at Mantei’s Transport Limited. He was predeceased by his grandparents and his uncle.
