Obituary of Teresa Kay Kaquitts

Teresa Kaquitts, along with her niece Tranadine Kaquitts, was called home by the Creator on January 25, 2004. She will be lovingly remembered by her relations, her husband Keon Crawler, her children Tergeon, Raven, Brandon, and Devalon; her mother Donna (Derek); sisters Edlyn (Winston) and Nadine (Willie), brothers Oliver (Francine), Edgar, and Louie; grandparents John and Nora Stevens; in-laws Jack and Virginia Crawler; aunties Georgie, Alice (Tommy), Philomene, Barbara, and Tracy; uncles Watson (Doreen), Glen (Paula), Virgil, Audley (Heather), paternal uncle Cedric Baker, her adopted father Gordon Potts, her daycare sisters, special nieces Jordana Wildman, and Janelle Poucette; and a special friend Julie Lefthand, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Teresa will be remembered for her warm heart and her unconditional love for her four beautiful children. She was employed at the Stoney daycare and treated all staff and children with the same amount of love and respect. Teresa also enjoyed playing baseball, volleyball, and making beautiful arts and crafts from beadwork. She respected our Nakoda culture and enjoyed traveling with the drum group Ta-otha Spirit to various First Nations Pow-wows. Teresa was predeceased by her father Ralph, brother Gregson Kaquitts, niece Sashalina Billy, uncles Harold and Darcy Stevens, cousin Buffy Kaquitts, maternal grandparents Joe and Alice Kaquitts, and auntie Wilma Kaquitts. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Georgie Kaquitts, Morley, AB, on Thursday, January 29, 2004 and Friday, January 30, 2004. Funeral Services will be held at Morley Community School Gymnasium, Morley, AB, on Saturday, January 31, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. Graveside Service to follow at Wesley Cemetery, Morley, AB.
