Obituary of Brenda Ann-Marie Byers

Brenda Jane-Ann Byers passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, January 8, 2004 at the age of 45 years. Brenda was born in Calgary in 1958 at the Holy Cross Hospital. She graduated in 1976 from Henry Wisewood High School. Brenda then worked for the Alberta Government at the Alberta Apprenticeship Board. She will be fondly remembered for her love for children and her never-ending generosity by friends and family. Brenda was known in her Windsor Park neighborhood as “Calgary’s Finest.” She had a great talent and passion for craftsmanship and it was not uncommon to see Brenda knitting and crocheting various articles of infant wear. She leaves to mourn her father, Leonard; two brothers, Tom (Joanne), and Rick (Mary-Lynne); and her sister Tish. Brenda was a “Favorite Auntie” and will be sadly missed by her eight nieces and nephews, Sarah, Nick, Lisa, Amanda, Jesse, Matt, Joel, and Karina. Brenda will be greeted by her loving mother Dorothy who predeceased her in 2001.
