Obituary of Matilda Ann Fyfe

Matilda Ann Fyfe, beloved wife of Jim Fyfe of 50 years, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at the age of 70 years. Mat was born on November 1, 1933 in Calgary, AB. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School. She worked at the Foothills Hospital Student Nursing and spent seven years overseas, Mat later retired from the Royal Bank and most recently spent her time as a volunteer at the Alberta Children’s Hospital in the Asthma Clinic. Besides her loving husband Jim, Mat is survived by her children, Brian (Susie) Fyfe, Wendy (Les) Fuleki, Cheryl (Lou) Brandsma, Karen Fyfe, and Linda Gaw; seven grandchildren Christie Fyfe, Lindsay Fuleki, Louis, Jeffrey and Stephanie Brandsma, Lauren and Codi Gaw; as well as her father Martin Berke. Mat was predeceased by her mother Magdalene and her brother Steve. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North), on Monday, January 5, 2004 at 2:30 P.M.
