Obituary of John Pollock

John Pollock of Calgary, formerly of Penticton, BC, passed away in Calgary at the Peter Lougheed Centre on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at the age of 88 years. John is lovingly remembered by his two daughters and a son-in-law, Pat Magoon and Vivian (Al) Kennedy and their families, including five grandchildren, Linda (John) Thoennes, Dwayne (Holly) Magoon, John Magoon, Chris Kennedy (Julie), and Keith (Chelsea) Kennedy; and six great grandchildren, Kristin, Michael, Andrea, Megan, Dysen, Amber and Iliana. He is also survived by a brother Alex (Edith) Pollock; a sister Paulene; a sister-in-law Ann Pollock; a brother-in-law Jack (Edna) Kokotailo; sisters-in-law Elizabeth Kokotailo and Rollie Kokotailo; and John’s very special friend Edna Bennett of Penticton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by Marie, his loving wife of forty-seven years, a son-in-law Vern Magoon; brothers Peter, Andrew, Henry; sisters Kay, Rose, Anne; and brothers-in-law Walter, George and Emile Kokotailo. “We will miss you Dad, Grandpa John and Papa John.” Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at 10:00 A.M.
