Obituary of William Robert Hunter

William (Bill) Robert Hunter, beloved husband of Muriel Hunter of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Thursday, December 25, 2003, from Huntington’s Disease, at the age of 73 years. Bill was born on June 27, 1930 in Saskatoon, SK where he completed his education up to Grade XII. During his lifetime he lived in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Calgary, and Cremona. On June 20, 1951 he married Muriel. He worked as District Manager of Canada Safeway, a rancher and Councilor of the County of Mountain View. He was an active member of the United Church. Bill’s hobbies included music, golf, curling, and hockey. Besides his loving wife Muriel, Bill is also survived by his children, Janet Hunter, Rick Hunter, Judy Keen, and Robert Hunter as well as six grandchildren, all of Calgary, and his brother Jim (Marjorie) Hunter of Vancouver. He was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and Robert Hunter.
