Obituary of Ernest Roy Fisher

Ernie Fisher of Calgary passed away at the Foothills Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, December 28, 2003 at the age of 71 years. God saw you getting tired, The cure was not to be. He wrapped you in His loving arms And whispered, “Come with me”. You suffered much in silence, Your spirit did not bend. You faced your pain with courage Until the very end. You tried so hard to stay with us Your fight was all in vain. God took you to His loving home And freed you from your pain. You didn’t deserve what you went through And so He gave you rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Ernie is survived by his loving wife Joyce; daughters, Susan (Charles) and Sandi (Dave); granddaughters, Tina (Sam), Stacey (Danny), Amanda (James), and Shannon; great-grandchildren, Adam, Jacob, Brittany, and Domonique. He is also survived by two brothers, Ralph (Jean) and Clarence (Erma); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ernie was predeceased by two sons, Randy in 1980 and Tim in 1982.
