Obituary of Gemma Marcelle Kerleroux

Gemma Marcelle Kerleroux passed away at home on Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at the age of 81 years. Gemma was born in Mont Joli, QC on January 15, 1922. She married Jean Baptiste Kerleroux in her native town and later moved to Calgary where together they raised their family. She was a gifted musician and devoted piano teacher. She gave freely of her time volunteering at the Rockyview Hospital playing piano for patients. Gemma is survived by four daughters, one son, two sons-in-law, and one daughter-in-law; Diane and Douglas Anderson of Calgary, Isobel and Jack Oostlander of Lethbridge, Yolande Kerleroux of Calgary, Denise Kerleroux of Calgary; John Paul and Rita Kerleroux of Grand Rapids, MI; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Tammy, Marshall and Deirdre, Penny and Mike, Heather and Josh, Amanda and Jon, Brett, Mark, Kate, Daniell; as well as two great grandchildren, Saphire and Jackie. She is also survived by two sisters Madeleine Trempe and Pierrette Hinkle. Gemma was predeceased by her husband Jean Kerleroux. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her family.
